Mountain Man Rendezvous (October 2011)
Troop 109's Yeti Patrol organized the weekend at Mountain Man Rendezvous (at Boulder Creek Scout Reservation, Santa Cruz Mountains) where you learn to be a "mountain man." Scouts worked on skills like black powder rifle shooting, archery, tomahawk throwing, rope and candle making, starting a fire using flint and steel, etc.
It's always fun for Troop 109 to participate (especially for new scouts) and to invite Webelos along. For the 2nd year in a row, T109 led the flag ceremony among 600 people.
